From my understanding (which is limited), when the scam artist clicks on the onboarding link to set up with us it reveals the IP address to the folks setting the carrier up. Something our IT department added. So if said carrier says they are in CA but the IP shows Armenia, then the red flags go up.
Need someone to protect me from Double Brokerage.

Correct. The hotbed right now for scammers is Armenia, India, and Uzbekistan. Sadly we know not every Armenian, Uzbek, or Indian is a scammer. That is clear. But majority of the scammers i deal with (besides Landstar attempts to DB my loads) are based in these 3 countries. Just get on YouTube and search for scam call centers getting taken down. Good hackers out there trying to protect your granny from the clowns. Its really great.D.Tibbitt Thanks this.

They may take a bigger piece of the apple pie however your best off using established brokerage firms ones that have a reasonable reputation in the transportation industry and avoid the "new companies" until they to earn a good reputation. Also some web sites including Truckers Report will have a section that focuses on driver experiences with Brokerage firms, "Called report a bad broker" or "Good Broker" etc etc. In here its just called "Freight broker forum"
