Who pays the tractor upkeep and scaling? The friend? Or does it come out of the truck revenue?

I'm sorry, I don't know the term. What is a glider? Or is this a comical post, referring to a hang glider?

A Glider is a new truck that you buy but it doesn't have the engine, trans and drive train. (you basically build the truck yourself)

Study the OOIDA website. It's a business website for the 0/0 and small fleet owner.

You might have missed or misread something. After company takes 13%, fuel and tolls are paid, I take 50% of leftover profits. He gets the other half, after reimbursing me any upkeep and scales and the like that I paid out of pocket.

I take it I would need a garage for that to work for me, of which I know none. Don't know if I would be able to do that at this time due to lack of funds to outright buy all that.

Yea ok I missed that part, wasn't sure where the other 50% was going. Was trying to do you up a little example since you wanted to know how you were going to do on this job. Hang on a sec.

ok. if you run 2500 miles a week and get 2.00 per mile that will be $5000 a week to the truck. The company would get $650 (13%). Based on your figures for fuel mileage fuel would cost you about $2192 if you don't get any discounts from the company on it. Subtract the 2192 and the 650 from the 5000 and that will leave you 2158 to split with the truck owner so youd wind up with about 1079 for the week. (of course that is before tax income)
