Ouch, dude, most places require at LEAST a GED... How old are you, and why can't you get your GED?

Fairly sure nearly every place wants at least a GED. I mean no CDL is fairly easy to work with but without at least a GED I'm fairly sure you're hosed.

I've never heard of a company that asked to see a high school or GED diploma. Someone posted one time they were asked, but don't know for sure. Just figure out a reasonable date for graduation and put it down.
My first cousin finished high school then was drafted into the 101st Airborne Division. When he got out he landed a good job in upper management of a textile company with his 4 yr. degree in "Business Management" ; very successful career for a high school grad.

Here's some schools to apply with:

    Millis Transfer

Southern Refrigerated Transport(bus ticket to school, 3 meals a day, free hotel room during CDL school)

    MCT in Wauseon, OH

    I disagree.

I got my highschool diploma late (not ged). It boosted my self-esteem for 2 weeks and then i forgot i have it and nobody cares. Nobody asked me to see it, and i dont blame them.

A high school diploma means precisely nothing.

I never suggest quitting school. An education is the best thing you'll ever get. Even hit college for a year or two. If one did not, at least get the GED. At least. Without a diploma or an equivalent, you're selling yourself short. By a lot. The only thing the OP needs to do right away is get an education and a GED. That's more important than anything. Even in trucking.

Not to a decent employer. It means the difference of a good amount of earning potential. This is going to come as a shock to many of you, but a lot of new drivers won't be drivers past a year or two. It's just the way it works.
