Maybe some nice person on here will just give you a place to live?

Seriously go get a job even if it's at McDonalds or sweeping floors, or cleaning toilets. I had a fulltime job at 15 years old and went to school fulltime. Grow a pair and go get a job and find somewhere to live or go enlist. Trucking ain't an option for you right now.

According to Injun you can "get a pair" at Walmart* :biggrin_25523:
    Sorry could not resist..

Seriously.. If I was about to be homeless I'd be on the street looking for work and a place to live. If you are religious ask your church if they can help you find a job and a place to live..

well then there CAN BE other reasons why they are kicking you out. one of the many reasons is that they are behind in the mortgage payments themselves and just cannot tell you that EVERYONE WILL BE kicked out of the house soon.

just because your dad works now hauling mobile homes, does not mean he is getting paid the same or working as much, so THERE CAN BE deep reasons for your early dismissal from home.

in the meantime, just get out there and pound pavement, accepting any job that comes along, and as i said and another posters said, talk with a clergyman for help, and i find it somewhat hard to believe you don't have at least ONE friend that can help you now. but so be it, we can only advise you so much. too bad this ball was dropped on you as suddenly as you say it was, and yes, the job market IS TOUGH right now, but just keep trying. there may be volunteer organizations that could use you as a volunteer, which might include free room and boarding as well. i think "out here" we have Goodwill, The Salvation Army, and local organizations, what you have "out there" you will need to get to.

it does. its f-n pathetic. i dropped out of highschool in 10th grade, actually let me back up, in 9th grade i was thrown out of highschool and put in a "reform" school, in 10th grade i dropped out. when i was 18 i was kicked out, by the time i was 20 i bought a house. what was different about me? I HAD A JOB and wasnt lazy. was i a friggin idiot? yep, i was late for work all the time, i didnt "get it". everyone on here knows what i'm talking about, when it finally clicks in your head. and it took meeting someone who i worked for who ended up being more like a father to me since my dad died when i was 8, and when he was alive wasnt around or when he was he was just drunk and high, anyway enough oprah winfrey talk.

i've been working ever since i can remember, 11, 12, whatever. my mother had a business partner/friend in the antique business and i'd go out on house calls to load up the moving trucks on the weekends sometimes. when i was 15 i got my first job on my own, no family connection or friend. it was an ad in the news paper for a shop helper at an auto body shop. worked there, when school started i rode my bike 4 1/2 miles everyday after school to work.

the point is, our generation is a bunch of lazy whiny big sissy babies. all these kids getting college rides for free, WHAT IS THAT CRAP!? i remember since 5th grade my mother told me "You better get your ##### in gear because i cant pay for college". now we have kids going to college on their parents dime, dropping out and moving back home. WHAT. THE F!??! is it the kids or the parents? I dont even know who to blame anymore. i'm not trying to come off perfect or anything i've got my short comings, i hate doing dish's and laundry, mowing the lawn etc. so they get done when i feel like it but i just dont understand my generation. i wake up at 4:30am to go to work and almost all my friends say "that sucks so bad". really? i'm home at 2pm. they all say "thats awesome!" they all want some sort of hand out. i have one friend my age who's got his crap together, he has a carpentry business, owns a house. the rest of them either live with other people working dead end crap jobs or still live at home. it boggles my mind.

sorry im done ranting. for now. lol

i personally BLAME the parents for letting the kids move back in. i personally BLAME the parents for providing more than just the 'basic essentials" of life, like food, shelter. let the kids GET A JOB delivering newspapers, let them EARN money at a young age, rather then just hand it over to them EVERY TIME they cry....

it STARTS with the parents, as the kids see they can get ALL THEY WANT any time they want it....

and i agree it is the parents, but there comes a point when you need to accept responsibility and be accountable for your actions. period. because if it were all the parents fault, i'd be a much different person right now. my mother did everything she could for me and my brother but the cold hard facts is she's been working full time since i was 4, that doesnt leave much family time. she'd get off work, cook us what she could and then it was bed time. you reach a certain point when you decide to take control of your life. so to an extent it is the parents, but i'll never look at a 18 year old and go "well its your parents fault not yours" we all know when we're being lazy and useless. just because mommy gave u extra special kisses and love doesnt change it.
