Need to find a company that will hire an 18 year old

beware that a military recruiter is like a trucking company recruiter. they will tell you what you want to hear. you'll ask, "can i be a pilot", the guy will say "sure, you can be a pilot", then you find where you are the "pilot" of the gas stove and you are the one that has to light it.

the military will give you training for sure, but whether or not its what YOU WANT will remain to be seen.....you will get fed daily, you will get a place to sleep, you will be respectful towards the officers, but you will have a "home" of sorts for a while. it can and WILL strengthen you, and i am sure it can and WILL build up your confidence so that you can handle anything coming your way in the future.

whatever your final decision, make sure its yours, and yours alone. look at all sides of the advice given. choose wisely, because once you sign any enlistment papers, your butt is thiers for X number of years. it ain't like you can up and quit the military as easy as you can quit a job....the military can be as easy or as tough as you make it, much like a job can be. except in the military, they can make your life miserable.
