Hi Sherry-How are you? There are people who care.I posted earlier then erased it because i thought you were the original poster.I looked on www.peoplesearchusa.com There were two on there. One in NewJersey and one in Pennsylvania. That's not the most reliable source i've used. Then i looked on www.mylife.com found what looked like the same two and another one in N Las Vegas,NV.I'm presuming you've checked things like Facebook, friends and the usual avenues.
The best i can offer you and the original poster is hope.I hope you find who you both are looking for and it's what you want it to be.From personal experience there's not a whole lot you find out about another trucker in the restaurant or loading dock. This was definitely worth trying. This is like any other place really.A supermarket,neighbors,co-workers wherever. Some people give you a reason to overlook them.Don't let that discourage you.Throughout your search, take care of yourself and i'll be looking for a good news update.I hope you have a very nice weekend.Brian

Thanks, G&C. I felt foolish enough going this route and maybe I'm just getting thin skinned in my old age. When I found out he was living in Mt Pleasant, TX and then that he was driving OTR again I just reached out the only way I could figure. He doesn't belong to any online social sites like Face book or My Space that I know of so I thought I'd try a trucking board. Maybe I can find out what company he's driving for and leave word there with my number.
Stay safe out there and please excuse me if I sounded like a jerk. -
Hey Rather - and a big thanks to you for the research. Yeah, I checked those out too and he did live in N Las Vegas, his Mom and brother still do and he also lived in Rockford, Il, but his home recently has been Mt. Pleasant, TX. My only problem is that with most of us having cell phones and such now-a-days instead of landlines, I can't get in touch with anyone without knowing their cell number.
I really do appreciate what you tired to do and if I ever do hook up with him, I'll come back here and post an update ... just for the heck of it. Stay safe out there now! -
you probably had your hopes up and were disappointed when it didnt work....dont give up....it took me 23 yrs to find my brother....dont give up
-
Whoa G&C, that a long time. I did that too with my biological father - my dad that was a trucker was actually my step-dad but I considered him my dad. I found my biological dad finally, seven months after he died.
I won't give up but I doubt I have another 23 years to invest ... only God knows that though and I sure am tired of finding people too late, so I'll do what I can. Glad you found your brother!!!FloTheWaitress Thanks this. -
well i can understand what you are saying.....i had such good memories of my big brother....he was my hero.....and when i finally found him.....wow was i disappointed....he is a MAJOR jerk....lol we had a reunion at our older sisters house, hubby and i got a run thru there and took the day off ....it was a disaster.....him (brother) and my older sister were fighting in no time.....we left early and dont plan on being back.....i talk to him once in a blue moon, he actually called 2 days ago and we had a nice visit. that was a shock...lol, usually it doesnt go well. i havent seen my dad since i was 12, and i tried to find him with no luck...so i can understand how you feel. if you find any additional info that may help someone help locate him...let us know.FloTheWaitress and Sherry_in_IA Thank this.

Sweetheart there are over a half million "red Trucks" on the road right now. No Photo, no nothing. I am 56, lost my wife, daughter, parents, and a whole lot of friends. I know
Sherry_in_IA Thanks this. -
Saddle - I am so very sorry about all your losses, I truly am. I'm not the original poster on this thread, the girl looking for her dad with the red truck. I started commenting later in the thread, look for an old friend of mine. And I apologized for sound like a jerk, I really was getting my hopes up about finding this guy. If you can go back and read a few posts up it won;t be as confusing, I hope.
Giggles the Original Thanks this. -
G&C - will do! Sorry things didn't turn out as you'd remembered with your brother. That can happen when you don't see people for a long time. I had a best friend when I was a young teenager - shoot we practically lived at each others houses and did share an apartment after we got older. I got in touch with her a few years back and she had "married well" and really didn't want to stay in touch - kinda like I reminded her of being poor and the old days weren't good days in her memory like they were in mine.
Giggles the Original Thanks this. -
thanks.... see?? we arent all jerks??? LOL
