Real Truckers can not be stopped from helping another person in need. That's how we are. That's why were King's & Queen's of the road. Most times a Trucker is at a wreck long before a Bear or a EMS. There is no better joy than helping someone in need. Learn CPR take a class in first aid. It's worth it.

I'll tell you, G&C, the more I think about this, the more foolish I feel. It's like somebody saying to me, "Hey, you're from Iowa, do you know so-and-so. They lived in Iowa."

Good advice, Saddle. My step-dad made a lot of good friends when he was hauling and helped a lot of folks back in the day. He retired from OTR and was driving a cement truck and got hit by a train. He lived for six years but was quadriplegic. My mom got him out of the VA hospital and cared for him at home. He and I spent many hours talking "trucking" so I guess I feel a certain connection.
