I will test in my boyfriends truck, but he is only in town 2 days a week. I can pass the road trip & the pre trip. I know every darn part in that engine! I practiced the brake test for 6 hrs. yesterday & think I got that down pat.

Some states require parallel parking in the road test. For the mention..

Yeah, I meant just the driving part. I have to do the pre trip, and either parallel park, alley dock, pull thru or off side park.

Find the time to go to a good truck driving school. If you do not have the money, look into getting a loan from a bank or credit union. Also, check to see your state will help you out either with a loan or through a state vocational school.
Good luck to you! You can do it!

God bless you and your family! God bless the U.S.A.!

    Vilhiem Thanks this.

If your boyfriend does not own and insure this truck you keep referencing.. You are breaking the law just being in it for any period of time and of course the company would fire your boyfriend for doing such a dumb thing with their equipment.
I don't know what the issue is with going to school and learning properly, but would you seek professional services from someone who got their professional certification using such tactics?
Your chances of learning on your own and successfully passing a state CDL skills test are extremely low.
NO you cannot just go and rent a truck in legitimate rental and leasing companies.

    SLANT6 and born&raisedintheusa Thank this.

Good advice. If you want a solid foundation in driving skills and technical knowledge give yourself the best opportunity. Not someone elses bad habits. Like anything there are no short cuts. Drive your own road.
