Del Rio, Texas - a paradise! Used to love that radio station back in the old trucking days: "Free gifts - 100% free; just send $9.99 to cover shipping and handling."
I had family in the del rio area for years, I was not a fan of the area, now New Braunsful (spelling) is or was a young mans paradise, or even a dirty old mans. lol
Having lived in N Texas for 15+ years, I know how much they like their High School Football. But the money that McKinney ($70 million) or their neighbor Allen ($60 million) spent on their high school football stadiums would never happen outside of Texas. Yes there is a lot to like about Texas. And having no state income tax looks real good until you get a property tax bill.
I have lived up north east of amarillo since 1976 I know about oil field & related stuff funny thing no one I know ever lost their house or cars cause of it.
