Some will say just top off diff’s but I always refill the hubs when I do anything with axles out. That, after all is why a fill plug is installed in hubs. Keeps bearings from running low on oil possible damage
Until things get splashed around and oil makes it down axle tubes.
Have fun and all goes well

How full is full,? I know the front axle is full if my finger can reach it.
But the hole on this axle is small.

Turn so hole is at 3 or 9 position and when oil flows out your full

Its all one common cavity. Diff and wheel bearings all share the same oil.

Myself I normally just make sure the diff is full, then jack up the opposite wheel several inches to let the oil flow down the axle tube and into the hub. Then re-check the diff level.

Good advise, even driving it up on a 4x4 will work.

Plus make sure parking brake is released. Help to reinstall.

    feldsforever and AModelCat Thank this.

Oil should be right up to the bottom of the full plug on the differential. Finger shouldn't have to reach for the oil. For the hubs I usually just put a quart in the hub, if you can get the fill plug out of the hub
