Need to repair this axle, can you help me find the right way?

    How full is full,? I know the front axle is full if my finger can reach it.
    But the hole on this axle is small.

    Its all one common cavity. Diff and wheel bearings all share the same oil.

    Myself I normally just make sure the diff is full, then jack up the opposite wheel several inches to let the oil flow down the axle tube and into the hub. Then re-check the diff level.

    Good advise, even driving it up on a 4x4 will work.

    Plus make sure parking brake is released. Help to reinstall.

    Oil should be right up to the bottom of the full plug on the differential. Finger shouldn't have to reach for the oil. For the hubs I usually just put a quart in the hub, if you can get the fill plug out of the hub
