I was told port may let owners drive off from the port. no need to take the container out.
another friend told me taking container out of the port by truck should cost not more than $300

I will accept that. Worth a try with a roll back.

Maybe I visit a shrink because over engineering solutions to a sure fire problem is a trait I wrestle with every day.

I simply need help and need to call someone to tell them - hey everything is done, tomorrow 9 am I need you to be there. what crime? what grey market? what are you talking about? I'm not here to discuss my cargo and processes. I'm here to get a phone number and person name who can help me with my task and understand cost from the experts.
your post made me laugh 0))))

Knight Transportation runs the LA port.
It's a mega carrier with a intermodal division.

I called them - because cars inside they can't do this because cargo is a hazard )))) hahahaha
Hazard truck can't take hazard container with tow hazard cars inside. Prohibited

Never mind found a solution - flatbed tow truck reverses to container and we take one car at the time. done

This board always goes to the dark and devious, just ignore those comments that do not pertain. A towing comapny would probably be the cheapest way to simply get the cars on the ground, as suggested a rollback flatbed could back up to the container back the car on to it then tilt it onto the ground, tow guys normally carry a small amount of dunnage, to back on to to match height with the container. Tow truck would probably be less than or about a c note, although aaa charged be 90 bucks this morning for a simple jump.
