Apparently all I want to do is get help showing me the right direction. I have no problem doing the leg work I just want to know which company is a good company that can overlook my discrepancies.

Not ridiculing at all . Just questioning why someone would want the type of work they once described as crap they didn't know why somebody would put up with . You asked a question you got the answer . Training companies won't hire people that are used to union wages and benefits .
And to newbie325 , the majority of graduates won't find jobs . That speeding ticket kills your chances with 95% of the carriers .

    newbie325 Thanks this.

Thanks well now I know that because of my ticket that I will probably have to wait another year for that to drop off. What I do not understand is that it has been 2 yrs already and that it was in my personal vehicle.

Rick G,No one said anything of the sort. The question was asking about a good company to drive for,and one that provides training, period. You decided to make it personal by looking up a post about a totally different topic which has absolutely nothing to do with this thread at all.If you do not have any info to help me,then don't answer because I don't care to hear your B.S. Your response was totally unprofessional.

It is because since 2005 there is no distinction under the dot to show a difference between car or commercial. It is now classed the same.

    newbie325 Thanks this.

Why does the state disqualify a driver’s commercial driving privilege when a traffic ticket is received in a personal vehicle?

According to 49 CFR 383.51 and 302.700, RSMo., CDL drivers who are convicted of certain disqualifying offenses while operating their personal vehicle may have their CDL privilege disqualified. There are some offenses that must be committed in a CMV for disqualification action to be taken.

How do I go about getting this disqualification action to be taken? I did not even have my cdl then. That is what I am so confused about. I talked to the safety director at PFG in Indiana and he said he would bring me on if he had some available spots.

Then you may have a chance . PFG doesn't get as many applicants . You have to do quite a bit of work for them unloading . 15 m.p.h. over is a serious offense though and a second conviction in 3 years calls for mandatory 60 day suspension .

Try to find a local carrier, I don't know about your states unemployment but in CA. if I go to a co and start as a trainee (local or long distance), unemployment will make the difference up from trainee pay to my weekly benefit. I am going thru school right now to get my cdl back (gave it up in 86) and am going to try to get a local job or a short haul of some kind.
