I hear ya and youre 100% right. I just wanted to make sure they weren't believing some terminal talk someone was spouting about getting to pick a truck you want. I'm sure if there are options, IE, if more then one kind sitting at the terminal and you strike it lucky with someone in a good mood but from what I've seen it's been more or less "here are the keys and this is the truck number"

Also rarely do I complain about loads I just don't like lack of miles.

Countryboy I have notice a lot here. My bad weeks are 2500 miles good weeks 2900 best 3400. Miles depend on your on time if late no miles. But a lot has to do with the area your in. If your regional your miles are not best did it for 3 weeks sucked. Like everyone here you get good and bad weeks just talk to the FM ask him what's the deal.

Yeah miles haven't been the best but as sad as this sounds I'm happy because they have been consistent. Not setting pay records the last few months BUT I'm averaging much smaller swings which is easier. I enjoy driving and have other income so consistency is key. They pay me to go to places and take pictures as I go, oh and deliver their freight. If timber prices stay solid I may stop driving after this next mud season and go back to working for myself BUT if housing tanks again specifically new housing starts then I'll keep driving here. By far it isn't the worst company out there and if things stay consistent so budgeting for misc bills remains easy then it's good enough

Anybody still on this thread? What do y'all think a new team coming to CWTL will end up in? Thanks!

Kat, I found out they are looking at more pulling power due the weight presented by teams as well as drivers with riders.

Wow, Really?!? And I haven't even had my physical yet. Heehee. Maybe we can get one of those papers that let you have extra weight on the steers like they give you if you have an APU?!? Hopefully it will hold both of us and pull maybe 35,000?
