I worked 1 day as an Independent Contractor. I was enroute to picking up an empty trailer. I was supposed to be paid $800 over two weeks. When I received a settlement (I was forewarned by friends that I wouldn't get a dime back) it showed me owing them money although they had the tractor I leased, and all the equipment they charged me for was with the tractor along with some of my belongings I had to leave behind.

End result being I received a W2 from the company showing I received a non employee compensation although I haven't received a single penny from them. Any suggestions?
