Hey guys and gals. I'm sorry for being MIA. I just been busy. As of lately, I been getting down about not being home. On the flip side, I also know that when I am not rolling, I'm not making money. Can anyone offer some words of encouragement to help me get through until the company decides to give me some home time?

    Truemac Thanks this.

The loneliness of this profession does suck sometimes...give it another 30 years or so and you'll get used to it lol

U gotta ask urself if the juice is worth the squeeze sometimes. Idk what company you are with but if u have to fight for hometime then you may want to find a different employer.

As for words of encouragement, look at the bright side. For the most part, ur getting paid to explore the USA. Alot of people pay good money to see the stuff we get to see out here. While it does suck from time to time, you gotta make the best of it. Otherwise u will drive urself insane, quit, or worse...

I cant stress to u enough though. If ur fighting to get hometime and that is important to ya, find a better company. One that won't dick ya around when it comes to getting u home all the time. It can make or break some people.

I am seriously considering that. Unless by some extraordinary stroke of luck in which I win at least a couple million off the lottery. If that ever does happen, however unlikely it is, I would almost definitely go O/O.

I work for Western Express. I have a friend who went lease purchase with them and in the past two week, he has sat either at the terminal waiting for a load or sat at truck stops altogether about six days. He is not happy about it too say the least. As for me, I'm not one for confrontation for a few reasons. Number one is that I'm not gonna make an a--hole of myself. I would rather just keep plodding along until something better happens. There is one bright point in all of this though. I have met a bunch of new people through all of this. Some good and some bad. All were people though.

How do I keep the company from screwing around on my home time without losing my job? That is my main concern.

So how long have you been out, and how often do you expect to get home?
    Just wondering.
