That's why I'm doing everything I can to hang on. I'm not gonna let this slip through my fingers and become another thing on my long list of failures. Nope, not gonna happen.
Need words of encouragement.

Pardon the derailment of your comment. I think that a lot of people think that driving a truck is a dream job. I used to think that myself. However, I can truthfully and honestly say that it isnt. I takes a special breed to do this, especially otr. All I can say is that without otr drivers, the country couldn't function anywhere near what it does now.
In addition to that, if all otr and regional drivers quit, there would be nothing for the local drivers to haul. Without freight going across the country, people wouldn't get the basics of life.Truckermania Thanks this. -

My mom is 81...so at first I needed to be closer, and wanted to check in on her weekly. But I didn't want to drive local.... I was bored with my local scenery.
Now my younger brother stays and helps my mom on his off days when he is home....he was running wiggle wagons out west for Schneider, now he hauls regional reefers for them moving chemical totes.
So I was able to go OTR. I love going out west.... I love taking 3 of my 6 days off somewhere on the road...and then I get sent back home, cuz my company has a big account 6 miles from me. Not a terminal, but a drop yard, on customer site, and also our own company loaders. Than I head haul out of that customer. -
