    Big red pay the lowest or close to the lowest in the entire industry. Most people don't believe it but I've known lots of former hands and none will go back.

    Ya cant just start scraping cream off the top from the start.............ya gotta start somewhere.......put in 6 months for them then move on to greener pastures.

    yeah i have no problem with working from the bottom but i was hopping to atleast make 60-70k at halliburton with that position seeing as it would get me back home to the boot state. i was curious as i am getting offers to work in san antonio and houston area for around 60-70 a year with no state taxes

    Chalk mountain services is hiring outta san angelo, pleasanton.

    ive been trying to get in to the oil fields as a newbie. But no luck ive been with celadon for 7 month's just waiting to complete a yr. Then start looking again.

    Chalk mountain has a really high turnover rate. Thats a good reason to look elsewhere.

    know that. What companies would you recommend to a 23yr old with about 8months exp.?

    100k sounds good. I am coming up on 1 year t/t experience and considering moving to oil field work for better money......trying to learn all I can. What companies hire for Frac Crews? Would I be driving?
