Housing situation south of San Antonio? They're putting up anything they can to house the workers, including making apartments out of shipping containers. People are getting rich down here.

This come in and start at 100K I haven't seen or heard of unless you got 1 year minimum and in a growing exploding area. Those two events have to be taking place for you to make that kind of money in a short period of time. I'm in an area that has those two things going on right now. Though I don't make a 100K Because I do enjoy my days home with the family. The way I see it and the way it works out mathematically is 50K-60K Plenty of time Home 70K not so Much (Bulk AKA Operator Assistant 1 or 2)... 80K on a Cement Pump Truck (Service Operator) no so much either. Cementer(Service Supervisor) 100K + But your not at home much or your Pencil whipping the Hell out of that log...

well i will say this been with big red for 2 months in the field. no shop days ever for this crew, we do maintence on stand by, the least amount of hours i get is 10 for my reset every day is 15.5 or more, per diem stay in hotels no man camp , and we et bonuses , so on top of my of my hours i get like and extra 950-1300 every other check. usually see 168-220 hours every period , 220 if i work my days off. the work is more boring than hard alot of time cabbing up in betweeen stages even on a zipper the time between stages is 45-1hr. like it so far but there are alot of cliq's here and the supervisors let that grey hat get to there head some times but nothing i havent seen in the normal work place. average $ is 3100 if i dont work my days off and get bonus 3900 if i work days off with reset and bonus

Wow so it's true about the money that can be made in TX if someone is willing to bust their butt and actually work.. I'll be getting my cdl here shortly I currently live in the Phoenix area and I do have a family that i will be leaving here if i can get on with a oil company.. Can anyone of you guys tell me what the home time would be for someone that is working in the oil field? I don't have a problem with being gone for 2-3 weeks at a time as long as i can come back and see the family for a 3-4 days or am i dreaming? Any info would be great thx and everyone drive and be safe.
