Yeah, I can tell you from experience that Key in Seminole is hiring again...they are the folks who trained me with a learner's permit.

hunnydew, did I read you are going into cementing? I am considering going into a service rather than hauling crude, water, etc. I am older and am concerned that may be a factor in being hired. May I ask your age? If not, I understand. Thanks.

Nope, not a problem, greywolfe...I'm a 51 year old woman. It's a little bit heavy, but we all help each other carry the iron so it is still doable for me at this point.

    d o g and greywolfe Thank this.

"edit: about the companies trying to get you to run off your logs...it's a difficult situation. I'm not demonizing companies, because vacuum companies never know when they're going to have a company man call with an urgent load or whatever.
The way the oilfield hours of service work is this: You can drive 11 out of 14 hours, but if you're on a well site for 2 hours or more, you can log "off duty - well site" and it won't count towards your hours. Technically, you have to be
off duty to use this, but who's going to know, right? We would use the "well site" exception and run crazy hours.

Any company in any industry that puts your CDL in jepordy by urging you to do illegal acts because of their customers requirment is not a company to work for! That CDL is yours not the company's, it is you that gets to change your occupation to prisoner instead of driver. It is you that gets the points on your CDL.
The Oil Field is supposed to be SAFETY FIRST ABOVE EVERYTHING any break down in Safety leads to other break downs in safety such as drive that bus when you do not have a passengerr endorsment (you have 15 passenges or more that have families that will indeed try to see you in prison if you are driving a bus without that endorsement and they get killed in a accident)
NO NO NO I know its a no win situation for a driver but I would and have quit companies in the past that wanted to place the customer above my personal safety and the public!

Does anyone here have any feedback on a company called Gazelle Transportation? Good or bad?
