Hey Thirsty, Can you tell me what street or highway you were on where you applied. Are there sites set up to apply at or they have office's. I am trying to figure out how people are finding these jobs.

That was the problem I had, just trying to find places, as there's several locations etc. Most of the major co.'s will have websites, and you can apply online, but it's best to show up in person. Some will likely just want you to do an online app, such as my experience with Baker Hughes. Doesn't hurt to drop in nonetheless.

Nabors in Midland: 300 North A Street Building 2, Suite 200, their ph# is 432-683-5000. If you follow GPS, it'll have you turn into their lot, and their building is pretty much right in front of you, but if ya get lost, the buildings are numbered at the top.

Thomas Petro: 10918 West 1-20 East, Odessa. Their ph# is 800-924-6308 and local 432-561-8098. Again, if following GPS, it can be a bit tricky to find....mine put me about a block short.

    Good luck!

So you get hired anywhere yet thirsty? I'm fighting myself really hard whether to head down on Saturday so I'll be there for first light
Monday morning to start filling out apps. Just wondering if it's as easy to get a job in west and south Texas right now as everyone says it is

I had an interview with Shale today, and they seem like they would be good to work for. The only thing is they want me to go to their school again for the cdl. I am ok with that I am just not real happy about having to sign a 2 year contract with them. They are taking me with no experience though, if they call me back tomorrow(hoping). They are working 4 days on and 2 off, 12 hour shifts. I do like that it is in Carrizo Springs or Karnes City, which are closer to San Antonio.

I wasn't sure when I first got here myself, but after today, I'm inclined to believe that it is very much true.

Is it shale tank trucks? If so I would gothe other way. Their not horrible but managment seems pretty inept. They are right above the bottom of the barrel here. And anybody who wants you to pay for any schooling or sign some contract has bad intentions. You've already got the license there's no reason to go to some school. You'll learn more being with a trainer actually doing the job.
