Needed complete trucking business management service

I could but it thaught is strange that the op need to ask the same question 5 different times with in an hour as I said answers are not immediately. As far as wanting a management company to run his trucks for him. Any of the mega carriers would love to do that. Or a break key for that matter But then again that's not running your business........

 

Good, a lot of people don't know about this, there are a few, not many but a few.

I would, but I don't pass things on to people I don't know. It is policy because I've gotten burned in the past when relationships went sour.

Third party stuff like fleet ownership. This is how I have mine setup, I have an contract with someone who I call 'my manager' which defines his and my responsibilities. He gets a percentage of the gross for doing everything that I don't do - he has others to do paper work like truck PM tracking, etc. ... . My job is to take his place when he goes on vacation, set all the policies and handle all the finances except the payroll, he does that and batches it up to the payroll company who sends out the checks. Hiring is a two stage thing, no matter where the app comes from, he does the first interview and then sends it to me and I do the rest. that's the only thing that takes my time.

Now others hire management companies to handle all of it from soup to nuts.

Ok first off what kind of trucking are you doing? How many trucks? How do you plane on driver pay ? Operations handle it all or do you have any hand in it? Are you just looking to have the equipment run with out any input and collect a check? Are you looking at splitting percentage or doing a milage deal? Etc.....

 

This is actually a company, not just one guy doing this out of his home or something like that, sorry got to clarify this. I pick up the slack to reduce that percentage, I won't say what it is but it is on the gross so every little bit counts. Many but not most are also bonded because they handle the finance end of it and they also have experienced staff. I don't use the load board/broker services he offers through his place to further reduce the costs.
