You and me both. But you know as well as I do that the Feds will be mandating them soon enough to make sure nobody is cheating their ELDs. Gotta level that playing field, Driver!

    TallJoe Thanks this.

I don't understand why it's a sin for a company to cover their ### in that manner. Most companies out here are probably a fatality away from having to close the doors. We can say they need to hire better drivers....easier said than done. Yall do realize that surveillance is every where right? If you're only driving what's the big deal? Are you worried about having a nice lady in your truck and getting caught? Some of you are so angry and consumed with trucking that I highly doubt that's even a threat. Just put some tape over it. Guys that were getting freaky at said conpanies just put tape over it lol. They gotta look out for themselves some kind of way because of lawsuits and the works. I can't say I blame them though. That ain't an endorsement for driver facing cameras. It's only an understanding.

My lawyer told me that if the driver is found liable then the company will also be found liable because the driver was acting as an employee of the company. He also said that the plaintiff will pursue the company harder than the driver because they can get a lot more money out of the company than out of the driver.
