I just wantted to keep everyone from wasting their time by signing on with Liberty unless u just wanna pay for their fuel and trucks and their up keep. I havent seen my family in two weeks i grossed 3,000 dollars of which i got to bring home 500 when i was out they told me i was making 2.00 dollars a mile to 1.50 a mile but when i got my pay check i found out that i got half of that then they took 2,000 dollars for fuel and a truck payment and insurance and all this stuff. Except my taxs of course ill have to pay on the 3000 out of my 500. They told me for me to bring home a 1000 a week my truck has to make 10,000 so u tell me whos getting screwed even the state boys have nothing good to say about these guys. So please please dont make our mistake and run like hell from this company.

So..... what did the contract you signed say about pay per mile and fees taken from your settlement? You know, the one you read before signing.
"They told me..." "They told me..." Sorry but this is a lesson for anyone wanting to lease, don't do it this way.

    What's the old saying?

A verbal agreement isn't worth the paper it's written on.

"They told me...." will never cut it. Sorry you got fleeced.

And the sad thing is he isn't the first one to get fleeced and he won't be the last one.

Leasing is definitely not for everyone. It is a challenge, a way to get started with a new truck, without having to lay out the cash for one, or obtain financing (which ain't easy these days). It involves careful saving and financial planning, because going for a few weeks without a paycheck is not unusual. The pay won't be much more than minimum wage. The driver will have to work long hours, and won't get home much.

However, it is a great deal for a coherent team, or for a solo driver who doesn't have much in the way of living expenses and wants to own his own truck for the first time. It worked out well for my husband and me. We paid off our lease, and the payment on the bank loan for the balloon payment is less than half what the lease payment was. Who else got a $1000/month pay raise this year?

The dumbest thing you can do right now is to pay cash for a tractor. With the Obama administration printing up money and inflating the dollar the way they are, by the time a truck loan is paid for, the money you owe won't amount to anything. In other words, what works for the national debt can work for you too, if you can find a bank that's lending.

Never sign a contract without reading it first. Probably would have helped a lot in this situation.

T73ART sorry but you sound like the BLONDE that took a job at $10.00 / hour

After she worked 40 hours was upset :( because her paycheque was not for $400.00.

When you were told the $ per mile you must of CLUED in that the FUEL and TRUCK payment along with the INSURANCE was coming out of that $ :)
