If you're thinking something different, you are sadly mistaken. After having worked in the back office for many years, you need to stay sharp because they can be your worst enemy.
NEVER FORGET....the company you sign with nor the dispatch crew ARE NOT your freinds

Nice first post. Member since March 2012. Shall we expect a reply sometime near the end of 2016?

Well if we are going to be honest here it is a simbiotic relationship--they need us we need them...and when handled properly--both sides do well
281ric, double yellow, BrenYoda883 and 6 others Thank this. -
Yes, provided your company proverbially "has your back". But the logistics structure is geared toward an attitude of indifference or even contempt for the trucker, all the while, soothing you with a voice that signals that you're their best pal. Makes me sick.

I have always figured its a give take relationship , as long as neither side gives or " takes" to much all is well , hard to figure who is under more pressure to preform , .02¢
BrenYoda883, harlycharly55 and Emulsified Thank this. -
My experience is your 1st shift crew or the main players are going to work with you and be effective problem solvers. Once you get to support shift an the weekenders things can get a little frustrating when something out of the ordinary occurs.
harlycharly55 and cabwrecker Thank this. -
