You really think SNI cares about what you post here. One look and they will have a good laugh. You discredit your own posts.

A lot of jerks up in here. This guy is either trolling or very new to the industry. I'm guessing Schneider just threw him in a truck after no real training like most other crappy companies that do not care if their drivers live or die? I don't know I've never worked for them. As for all the super truckers that were born on a fifth wheel and Jesus Christ himself instilled all the trucking knowledge needed to beat Paul Brandon in a safety challenge from the first day they started. Get real, you know you were a noob and had to learn just like everyone else. All the old heads saying well I only got paid 10 dollars for a stop and that was just dandy for me... Maybe back when a brontosaurus steak cost a penny that was fine, but now that you're older than methuselah it ain't cutting the turds anymore. As for all the other lame sleezebags who love being turd robbers to people who are obviously new. Get over yourself. You're a truck driver. Let that sink in.
mjd4277, diesel drinker and Steelersjunkie Thank this. -
So blaming everyone else is cool?

Who knows maybe losing 20 lbs would do you some good corporate slave gives you another thing to ##### about.
Smh ..A little bump in the road "oh this company is crap let's complain" sounds like a normal day to day truck driver.
I'm sure once you reach your 20th driving job there's always Mcdonalds to hire you on. Good luck -
Hang on a second while I laugh....dngrous_dime and 51.50 Thank this.

I have one specific run in mind that I have to do as a driver for my company. We are allowed to go out of route a bit before we are considered "in violation." I ran that route twice before I was told there is an easier way around. 15 extra miles, 20 minutes of extra time. I'll take it. I don't need the "SUPERTRUCKER" award. I want to earn a paycheck and see my family when my home time is due. Your advice is admirable. Keep it coming.x1Heavy Thanks this.

Sure thing. Any time you identify a easier road take it.
In my time we did not get hit with out of route anything, as long there is fuel to do it, we would use the PA Tpike in bad weather winter to bypass Morgantown-Cumberland-Hancock Md where necessary. It might only have a foot of snow versus feet of powder or valley ice on the 5 passes further south. That is one example.
If anything the companies was rude about toll tickets so, you stood to lose that money and did not get reimbursed, which is again why you keep some savings so that if you had to, that option is open.
Now your posting about out of routing today implies being fired for going off route. To me that's just unnecessary and wasteful. I rather see you burn 30 dollars desiel fuel and a few hours to work around a known problem that might otherwise call for a thousand dollar tow plus accident etc.Steelersjunkie Thanks this. -

Nope, nothing that strict. My company gives leeway of 50 miles out of route which I feel is extremely generous. They get a huge thumbs up in my book regarding excess mileage and safety. They make it very clear to all of us that our safety is their number one concern.x1Heavy Thanks this.
