You folks will porbably think i'm crazy, but I have been thinking very seriously about quiting my job of 26 years in the printing industry to drive a truck. I went through truck driving school 27 years ago, but never followed through. Fell in LOVE lol. My kids are now grown and just need a change. I would welcome any advice good or bad.

hey okie man go for it--never to old
i was in kind of same boat--although i always worked in transportation--home time and such seemed to interfere with getting on the road--so i worked in shop ans took day trips when i could
then i went--finally otr full time and never looked back--i love it
if you still have your cdl you might just need a refresher --or a bit of training time
if you can afford lower pay for awhile till you get going it would work ok

Thanks, never kept up the CDL. Thinking about going to school again what with all the changes in 27 years i'm sure I it wouldn't hurt.
