I got 30,000 miles on my detroit now .
Factory reman , haven't been back to shop since put into service 6 months ago. Perty happy with this engine so far.
Gets about 1/2 mpg better then my other truck with 6nz. I'm averaging 7 mpg

My factory remanned Detroit 12.7 60 just turned over 493,000 miles in my Harrison glider. Only issue has been a couple of exhaust manifold bolts. Uses about 1/2 gallon of oil between 20,000 mile / 400 hr oil changes. Dumped the ECM when I had a ABS sensor replaced, and lifetime average is 7.83 mpg. Now granted, ECM's are not always totally accurate, so I just say it is averaging around 7.5 mpg.

Looks that way... In hindsight I probably should have gone with either the Clarke rebuild or the Detroit factory rebuild. When it is running it runs good but at this point it should be running a lot more than it is.

Yours was one of the threads I was reading before deciding to go with a new Glider over an older used truck. I'm holding out hope that I can get the issued resolved and have a good running reliable truck.
