I upgraded to the one RBC shows in the pic. No real difference to the upside so I did a mod.

The 4G ships with a tiny stinger, I switched to a new 3G pigtail. Minor improvement.....system is ok considering there is very little ATT coverage in the oilfield. I'm going to try the Wilson trucker ground plane on the headache rack next.

And all this may not be the booster. I'm running a S5 that's very iffy most of the time. It dials by itself and locks up quite often.

What I need to do is install my new Motorola M930 unit in the truck. It's a high watt fixed mount phone like the old ones but it doesn't have email capability and it cant leave the truck.

What type of truck are you driving and what type of antenna were you using and where did you mount the antenna on that particular truck? I was one of the few drivers who had great success up in mandaree North Dakota using an older version of that amplifier with a Galaxy S3 on AT&T network using this antenna setup on a Kenworth T600. I had to manufacture a custom bracket to elevate the antenna above the roof line in order to get it to work properly.[IMG]

Reason for edit: mine was an older version and it worked great but it's only as good as the antenna system

My boss had the same amplifier in a Dodge truck with a magnet Mount antenna and he was unable to make phone calls from some of the same places that I was just barely able to make a call so height of your antenna means everything.

Stinger is mid roof on 3/4 ton p/u right where is should be. I'm going to build a bracket for the headache rack with a shield to cover the bleed over for the trucker conversion.

Also plan to add a resistor to the power side and drop the volts to 10.5-11 to the booster. Lastly I plan some sort of noise suppressor in line.....maybe like a capacitor. I can hear the alt in my YouTube music which is also interfering with the cell signal.

My oldest daughter is a major programming guru. She's on task with jail breaking the S5 so I can roam to other towers / providers like the old days. ( aren't young people wonderful ! )

    I'll letcha know......
