I received my Progressive quotes today.
    $1mil/100k was $16,400 with 90% 500 miles or less.
Unlimited distance took it to $19,200.
    2017 579 & 48’ flatbed.
New CDL and new authority. Didn’t think it was too bad. I was expecting mid 20s

That is almost the exact same quote I got for less than 500 miles. I changed it to unlimited and ended up paying 19200 cash for the year is I remember correctly.

I live North or Ft Worth.

Switched to great west and it was reduced for my second year. Just waiting for the quote now for my third year…. Still unlimited. I don’t want to deal with what happens when they ask for IFTA for going over the 500 mile range. That’s not a lot of distance Inc Texas area.

    Vampire Thanks this.

$19,200 is the cash price. Must have a lot to do with location. I looked at going intrastate but because a lot of flatbed loads go to El Paso. Unfortunately almost all the backhauls load across the river in Las Cruses, NM. Interstate under 500 wouldn’t work because El Paso is over 500. They say 90% under 500 but I didn’t want to risk getting screwed on an audit.

Location, driving record, credit score. These are the three biggest factors if you're hauling normal freight.
