What if I already have multiple trucks running under another carriers numbers? As of now, they cover the primary liability and cargo insurance as part of their percentage. Along with ELD subscriptions, IFTA, tags, etc. If I'm considering getting my own numbers, do I have to move all my trucks to the new numbers? Or can I move 1 truck for now and test the waters before moving them all? I want to try 1 truck under my own authority before I take on all the cost of said listed above.

What's a good website for the owner-operator and small fleet owner?
OOIDA is one, but there's another one and I can't remember the name.

    Yes and no..it’s complicated :)
I tried doing this myself..one on my authority and the other leased to another company.
Hit a dead end with insurance. You essentially will need them under separate business.
