Bison and Challenger are the only 2 companies in the area that offer "Finishing Programs" for new drivers. Other options may include Cartage Companies, I have a buddy that runs one if you want, I can ask. Its a way to get your 1-2 years experience before applying to other companies.

No, I want them to buy me out. I've been at this since 2007. Had my fill. Thanks though.

Kriska needs drivers so bad that they’re sponsoring them from places like India and training them to drive a truck and help get them their AZ . Only problem they don’t have any work

    Amen,

Bison and TransX are career suicide (possibly also real suicide). Challenger, XPO, UPS, Gardewine are who I would look into, even if you have to start on the dock first.

Yeah, TransX (if your a O/o) base rate pay will leave you broke.

What they offered me as a O/o for a base rate of $1.24 cpm isn't top tier pay when some places still average $1.75 or more cpm even in these times. I had over 30 plus companies offer me work in one week because of my experience however I double screen all of them with their funny money math tricks. As a new driver, its a better time to obtain experience because their are a lot companies posting even for drivers with less experience.

Look at everything not just base rate .. 1.24 with .41 a litre at7.5 mpg cdn leaves you $1.00 roughly 1.75 at 1.65 pump price leaves you roughly$.75 at 7.5 mpg .. I know guys who get 2.00 but pay full pump price and high insurance who are hurting bad right now.

The Muflap app helps with discounted diesel however when it comes down to most Canadian trucking companies that lease on O/o they're extremely decepetive regardless of what they post on their job ads compared to factual overall rates. Projection of 40% of whats advertise usually gives a genuine idea of what the practical payouts will be.
