I've gone through two Blueparrot headsets. Usually get 2+ yrs and then seems like the battery dies and doesn't charge anymore. So I've been eyeing up the the Celltronix and Motortrend headsets @ the Flying J. Always liked the BlueParrot-XT, but are these other ones worth trying??

I have a motor trend headset (mt 4000 I think) and it does really well for noise cancelling but sometimes I have a hard time hearing a person. I am pretty happy with talk time and standby time but was thinking about a blue parrot the next time around

Thanks Mommas!! The MotorTrend looks comfy. With the volume turned up, its still hard hearing someone? I'm always in the truck with my Blueparrot on and never outside in the noise and people hear me and I hear them perfectly fine.

I've had 2 blue parrots and a plantronics. None of them work anymore. The blue parrots didn't make it year.

I have 2 Plantronics in the drawer. Pretty good audio, but 3-4 hour talk time. B250XT BlueParrot- 16 hours plus talk time, excellent audio. Most all of the drivers I know use the blue parrot. They will send you a reconditioned one for about $50 if you call them and send in your old one. Excellent customer service. The older ones had replacable batteries for about 10 bucks on ebay. My 250 is going on 4 years old with no problems. Your mileage may vary.

Note to self and others - don't take out your marital frustrations on a Blue Parrot by flinging it across the cab; probably not built for that type of abuse. At least didn't crack the glass. Now need another headset. And maybe anger management therapy.

Anyone tried either of the Cobra models?
Are the Blue Eagle headsets still on the market? Seemed to hear good things about them.

Maybe you should buy a battery instead of the whole headset. I had a Motor Trend before I got the BlueParrot, just my opinion the BlueParrot is ten times the headset the MotorTrend was.

Well I ended up purchasing another BlueParrot, but the 250xt+. So far so good, the voice command is nice when it tells you phone is connected and disconnected, out of range and so on.
