I just left Oklahoma City, I deliver in Henderson and Las Vegas NV, tomorrow morning. I did this same run a month ago. This company is very generous with home time. Basically as much as
you want. They have been very good to me so far

It's up to me in a way. Being that I live so close to Lawrenceburg I could be home allot
tow614 Thanks this. -
Another thing I like is the load options. I never worked for a company that when I got empty I was given 3 to 5 options on where I want to go next
tow614, hal380 and Air Breeze Thank this. -
Yeah your home time should be very descent. I do really like the idea of having choice were I go. Think that's really a benefit to a driver
matrixpuba, hal380 and Air Breeze Thank this. -
Just don't pick anything that take u on 24 around Manchester its bonnaroo week
tow614 and matrixpuba Thank this. -
Well not the most productive day. For the last 2 mornings the batteries were dead. So I lost the California load. Deliver in Shreveport in the morning then reload to swing by the shop to replace the batteries on my way to Ohio. That's trucking. Still not a bad week being it was a short one. Got by the house two times and feel like I haven't worked at all. This may change like normal but they haven't ran me off yet lol
hal380 Thanks this. -

If you are running the a/c at night with the apu I usually have to get up after about 7 to 8 hours and start the truck for a couple of hours. They have already changed my batteries but they dont last as long as they are supposed to.
I talked to one of the guys with an internationals. Those trucks start themselves automatically when the batteries get low and he says his will start up after 5 hours of running the a/c and run for a couple hours to charge.
these battery apus are just an idle reduction system but they dont eliminate the need to idle completely. ..matrixpuba and hal380 Thank this. -
So do you idle the truck at night? I have to get up in the middle of the night every night to start the truck? They checked the batteries this morning and said they won't take a charge
-
I dont have to every night but I do quite often. I sleep with a cpap and my inverter has an alarm on it that tells me when the batteries are low and that is when I start it and let it run a couple hours.
if I am taking a reset I usually idle most of the time during daylight hours and use the apu at night. In extreme heat I idle..matrixpuba Thanks this.
