I have only hauled one load from the Fayetteville plant since May I have been on a dedicated
account since then. I don't think SEC will go out of business over it. When I called them on
Monday to see when my truck will be back from the dealership, they offered me a choice of
over 10 different loads if I wanted to run in another truck until mine is ready to roll again. I am
happy on the dedicated account that I run for them. All I do is haul a load up to Indiana or Texas
and I am set up to run the dedicated account again.tow614 Thanks this. -

Dont think they will either, it will hurt though especially their west coast freight.
Air Breeze Thanks this. -
I think the local drivers will probably get hit by the closing most. They usually pick up at
Fayettville and drop at the yrd in Lawrenceburg. As far as I know they still haul loads out
of Goodmans in Houston. I'm not sure though, I haven't hauled a load from there since
last year. -
I delivered a goodman load this week that was brought up from houston last week and dropped on our yard..
the guard at goodman told me that big g was their biggest carrier...Air Breeze Thanks this. -
sec is hardly at Goodman Houston anymorethe last couple times I went in there before I left SEC at the end of May SEC had one maybe two trailers in there and that's it
-
The next time I go by the office in Lawrenceburg I will find out. I know just who to ask. I have
been averaging 3500 miles a week doing their dedicated account. I don't care where they
send me as long as they don't start running freight to the Northeast. The only loads that I
don't get a choice on are from California heading back East. I have been home now since
July 2nd, I call every morning to check if they have my truck back from the dealership. If it's
not ready today I will just go drive another truck until the next time I can get to the yrd and
swap trucks again.Last edited: Jul 8, 2015

What else does SEC have that goes to the West coast besides Goodmans?

I just called my dispatcher to check on my truck. He said the shop doesn't know so they will call
up and check on it.He told me it's my choice if I want to take more time off till my truck is ready
or drive another truck till they get it back. I told him I will drive another truck until they get mine
back from the dealership, as long as it's not a Prostar with the automatic transmission. I like to
take extended amounts of time off once in awhile, but I like to plan ahead before I do, so I can
make good use of my time off. I don't know if they treat all of their drivers like me or not. They
know I am semi retired, I am sort of a part time OTR driver now. I consider myself fortunate to
have found a company that is willing to accommodate me. I just requested that they find me a
load that has plenty of miles. I don't like sitting in a truck, I like to run hard when I'm on the road.
