Give him a break; he's a nice guy, but suffers from PTSD from living in Milwaukee.
He's doing great since he moved to Colorado and now physically fit.
Here's a couple recent photos of him:

I have a friend that got his CDL about a year ago and got started at $36 an hour. I could probably get a job there but I don't want to have hands on freight. I just want to drive 99% of the time. Santa Rosa is hiring bus drivers at $100k a year to start which is ok but I'd rather not if I can find something else. I could go Teamsters Union here and make $36 ish but also rather not if I can find something else. I live way out in the woods because it's cheap. My bills/overhead is NOTHING! If I can make $80-120 I am more then happy. I am also a day trader. I can make a couple hundred bucks in a few minutes of trading a couple times a week if I have the time. I am also a veteran auto damage appraiser and I have managed auto body shops in the past. I don't like sitting in an office 10-14 hours a day anymore because I did it for 12 years. I am also sick of haggling with insurance companies. I could go do it again and make 70-160k a year depending on how much stress and BS I want to take on. My wife and I also have 2 small businesses that don't take up too much time but also aren't enough on their own to do what we want to do. All I want to do is drive and occasionally day trade on the side. My wife can handle the businesses on her own and go to school. I am NOT worried about getting a job and being stuck. I am never stuck. I can always hustle and make money one way or another. If I am unhappy or need to switch things up, I'll quit and do something else.
We want to stack as much cash as we can over the next 10 years and then retire in Costa Rica. We are there now. We have been here for 3 weeks and will be here for another month. It's where she is from. You don't need much here to live like a king... -
I wondered where your overseas location is.
My wife does day trading and makes more than I made trucking. I used to day trade, but quit because she does so well and doesn't want my advice,,,lol.
I'm a big fan of China and spend a few months a year there.ducnut and Truckingdaytrader Thank this. -
I met a Schneider driver that owns a home in Costa Rica and his wife is from there.
He had his fishing boat moved there and said that was cheaper than buying one there.
Nice guy, we chatted for a couple of hours at a truck stop in East Tennessee.ducnut and Truckingdaytrader Thank this. -

I'm looking at condos in Macau right now. Better prices since the Covid issue.ducnut Thanks this. -
I also want to hang out in Hainan Island. Haven't been there yet. My friend from Scottsdale, AZ and his Chinese wife bought a condo there. Lots of Russians living there and I get along great with Russians. Those Russian women run around on the beaches topless.
ducnut and Truckingdaytrader Thank this. -
If you fly to China, don't do a money exchange in Hong Kong for Hong Kong dollars. Can't spend Hong Kong dollars anywhere except in Hong Kong. I made that mistake and exchanged $600 dollars. I got rid of that by using it for tip money in the USA.
