I mean, if you're on probation, doesn't the inherent design of this industry afford you vast opportunity to become a flight risk? I can't see the megas hiring you for OTR work, best to find local dump/cement truck etc.

Get through your probation first. Then when you are out of the system and free to do as you please then consider trucking. But not until then.

The original charge related to drugs indicate a history with or around. You must choose not to have that in your life ever again if you get into trucking. The industry is unbelievably intolerant when it comes to drugs and trucking.

And I agree with classicst, once you get in a big truck with a nation to run around in far from Detriot, you would be a flight risk if the "System" wants to check up on you. They would have to consider you a fugitive from not being able to find you easily.

Get clear of your probation and be done with the court, enforcement, punishments etc. Then also be completely done with drugs. Use this time to get and stay clean. Some tests are able to detect drugs in your system going back almost a year.

Once free and clear you can get into trucking. However. A work around would be with a small local, as in just a county or two at most outfit small enough not to care what baggage you have on you provided your license, social and so forth are valid.

Any time you have a bad day, keep in mind maybe 90% if not more of drug users, addicts or abusers will never consider bettering themselves with something as big as trucking. At the same time, you are not going to be truly free in trucking. You might find that there is too much Uncle Sam on down to local law enforcement everywhere you go for the smallest things related to your work.

Use this time to save money, however little or much. When the courts and probation officer says they are finished with you, then that is the time to head out.

If old hookers too old to sling ##### anymore, and felons, and some guy living under an assumed name can get hired I don't see any reason you couldn't.

You should probably be looking at very small companies with only a few trucks, at least for the first year or two. Big companies will drug test the heck out of you, and I assume that you have used at least weed in the last year that will show up in a hair test. Small outfits are more likely to only use a urine test. Go to a small company and explain your situation and that you are now clean. Maybe somebody will take pity on you and hire you. Of course all of this is assuming that your drug using days are behind you. If they aren't. don't even bother because the rest of us don't want you out on the road. Time to grow up.

Dude, there is a lot of local work. Start with companies like rush and fourteenth avenue trucking. Also try going to Michigan works actual location to see what they have.

Schedule One through Four is controlled.

Some states may deem certain substances as controlled. And thus ban it. There was at one time a powder form of a particular plant grown elsewhere that you could purchase and have delivered to the house until last year. Arkansas banned it because a increasing number of ex medical pain patients cut off from their scripts to abuse etc have started ordering over the mail sufficiently to attract the attention of the State.

One of the reasons the patients are being cut off is because the State has reduced the maxiumum MME daily prescribing allowed from 110 down to 80 and soon to 50 daily. (Excluding hospice and cancer patients along with those in acute pain up to 7 days max. IV pain killers are limited to 3 days in the hospital. Then transferred to pills for 4 days and referred to a pain doctor.

NO regular doctor, family doctor, dentist, clinics walk in doctors, ER doctors anywhere outside of a specific pain center prescribes a controlled substance narcotic period in this area.

Only 15 doctors prescribe medical pot. The problem with medical pot for 6 specific diagnosis for card holders allowed by the state is that they will be capped at about a 20 dollar candy pot bar per day. For some it's not enough. They also lost all weapons they owned before. So the police once being notified that there is a new card holder in the area will visit the home and take away any weapons there to be sent to the melt shop to be melted down.

I can go on. But there are new problems coming in to the state from else where as the People seek to replace what they have lost in either no sellers of illegal drugs or being cut off from legal medical drugs. And so the State continues to crack down and make anything that is capable of making a human high illegal.

At this rate even smokes and coffee will be banned. Mark my words.

A check of my old pain clinic from last year who I was with for 8 years total shows that in medicare system part D there was 2110 people as of 2015 each month (Including me) was prescribed medicine of a particular kind. (Oxycodone etc) So this particular Clinic is not only the top in Arkansas for prescribing huge amounts of medicine across the board to either non medicare or medicare people they are number 8 at one time before 2015 for the entire USA in prescribing. You are looking at potentially about $850,000 dollars in billing just from 2110 people in the medicare system per month in office visit and drug testing at 400 per visit. Throw in a certain number of non medicare people and you are looking at a cool 2.5 plus millions of dollars income per month for that clinic location (One of 5)
