Hey guys, I'm going to try to keep this short. I'm a new CDL holder. I have all my endorsements besides doubles and triples. I got my CDL through my company, learning on a manual transmission. Currently, I work in the agricultural field, and I have no agricultural background. I dislike my job. I am a hard worker, but I'm tired of getting covered in fertilizer and chemicals. I've done hard physical labor most of my life, and I just want to drive. What's a good company to start out with for a new CDL trucker like me? I live about an hour east of Omaha, NE, in Iowa. I'd like decent home time as well, if possible. Thanks in advance!

Wargames, Kyle G. and Chinatown Thank this.

    Careers | Grand Island Express
We run consistent freight patterns weekly, allowing us to get our drivers home more often than big, national carriers. Grand Island Express serves the eastern two-thirds of the U.S. and has a significant presence along the I-80 corridor from Nebraska to the east coast (New Jersey, New Hampshire, New York, Pennsylvania, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, and Vermont).

Nebraska drivers can expect weekly home time and to run regional or east coast routes. Live near I-80? Drivers that live within 100 miles of Interstate 80 can expect home stops weekly and home time every two weeks. Drivers who live in the southeast part of the U.S. can expect to be home every three to four weeks.
