New CDL for wife team question

I was going to PM @Chinatown this but figured maybe someone else has the same ?? And I didn’t want to hijack a recent company team thread on this sort of subject

I pull a flatbed conestoga and the company I was leased to for almost 8 years couldn’t bring my wife on until she had 2 years elsewhere

I talked with Landstar and their answer was if I went there then I could be her trainer after 6 months but I have no solid proof they would honor that

Another company said they would also do that sort of deal so I went with them

Well.... Now they are confused and a lot of finger pointing
Company seems to be ok but the whole idea was to be able to run team. Not full time but that once in awhile when it would make a difference on $$$ or getting to a destination when otherwise I wouldn’t have made

Anyone know of a flatbed conestoga company that will bring me on and my wife as my “team” with me being the trainer?

 

Im incorporated but leased using their insurance
I’m not sure if they have any company drivers
I think it’s all owner ops

I used to run my own numbers and authority and have thought about going back to that also but I’m sure the insurance game in that arena has changed as well
