Yeah learning to shift and be tricky in a smooth bore. You'll get it though, just float them and if you miss give it a second to stop surging, rev it and try again.

I'm going right into dragging tanks. Pulled my first empty for a road test the other day. I liked everything about it. I'm sure it'll take some getting used to once the tanks are loaded.

Best of luck and do what you want to do. If you want to pull tanks, go pull tanks. I had no desire to drag vans around.

Tell Schneider you want tanker division. I think you have to wait 6 mos. if you're already in vans.

I started straight out pulling tankers. Ten years later, happy as a puppy. Only minus is I can't back a van to save my life... lol.

Yeah, I'm the guy that goes to the plant for our company and I also dump big quantities with this truck at my stops. So I run transport loads and bigger customers.

We also have a straight truck someone else drives. We just fill totes and pump them out at the stops with that truck.

Here's my truck, trailer was used to haul milk before we got it so it's a hand full.

It's just three of us and two trucks, small company. The third employee is my boss and dude who works in the office.

Yeah I like it. I learn a lot about the financial side of things too. A million times better than driving a grease rig (last job).
