i seen one of there trucks northbound on 85 through charlotte yesterday, headin to the barn i'd expect.

 

I loaded with one Sunday night in Colton California, he was notified that day that they were shutting down. He was concerned about getting fuel and a cash advance. I told him take as much money off his card as he could, that might be the last of any money he probably would see.

I hope the dude made it back east ok. This has happened countless times in the years I've been driving. I'm just waiting to hear the sob stories about we live in our truck and have nowhere to go, or no money, you know, the endless garbage that comes with a shutdown. I just hope these drivers had an exit strategy.

Seems as though they are doing what they need to to get the trucks and freight back, I'm wondering if they will do the right thing with drivers pay.
