As for mushroom its not about going some where you like or dislike.. its about the drivers and the solid non stop traffic i have done the city for 28 years i hate it and i mean i really hate it .. i hate the nasty people attitudes no one wants to let you in i know its every where.. iIf you get through the boros before 5 am you might have a good chance.. and long island is just as bad.. but to agree with you chicago washington dc detiot la dallas fort worth there all head aches.. but ny is number 1 pain in the ### to deliver too.. hope all is going well for you at new century

 

well mushroom i tried towarn you in the beginning about them.. But as you said you have to live it to know.. listen ask anyone there what happen to the sompany after Jevic went public..I worked there for 11 years i was there when harry sold us down the river to yellow... most people here dont know anything about it.. especially the adminstrator.. i dont slam companies i havent driven for.. what happen to you when you got home and them keeping you there happened to my friends when they asked for delay pay for more days spent home.. they told them hey you were home so suck it up.. they use the excuse you slipped through the cracks..look whne a company goes public it goes down hill fast.. especially in this economy.. ask around the shop when they bought new equipment matter of fact i know they cancelled new truck purchases.. So everyone else can chime in from whatever company they want and say what ever they want.. But i have solid facts and names and numbers of people from there.. i so wish you firther luck you soumd like a decent driver. Funny big mouth looney tune hasnt been heard from huh. guess he ran for the hills.

 

In the 4 1/2 yrs. I was there. ( terminated as of yesterday ) I saw a huge change in the company! I had the misfortune to get hurt when I fell at the P&P terminal they bought out. It cost me two surgeries on my shoulder, the last one was a total replacement ! The people in the insurance department are a bunch of cold heartless Ba----ds! I hope you never have to deal with . If you ever get hurt there,don't hesitate get an attorney. Kevin Long will try to screw you every step of the way. He is more concerned about how soon he can push you into light duty work and off the worker's comp payroll than having you get to therapy and make it right. Keep in mind that if you get hurt in NJ. the max. pay is $735.00 . If he sends you out to do light duty like he did me, they pay you 80% of your hourly rate. They forced me to drive an hour each way to work at a salvation army office. I was only taking home $505.00 after taxes. My attorney caught them and made them pay the difference up to the $735 for the 9 weeks I did that. I WONDER HOW MANY OTHER DRIVERS THEY TOOK ADVANTAGE OF AND GOT AWAY WITH IT. I have been out due to last surgery since end of october. I had last doctor's visit yesterday wher the worker's comp girl said New Century wants one thing and that is to have me put on MMI which is an excuse to terminate. She said they have been pushing this to her for last several months. But the girl stood her ground and told them it is up to th doctor and he will decide when and not you. So I hope you never have to deal with that dept. Dispatch is bad enough. They also refuse to pay my last weeks vacation. I am sure you have heard about Harry's boys, the ones that came over from Jevic when he started NC. They get load choices and if the t need their truck serviced no waiting for them. Like the one guy said their are only a few decent people in dispatch, a very few. The rest of them you are cigerette. Light you up , burn you down to nothing then throw you out! So mushroom if you or any anyone else wants more insite on NC. I will be more than glad to answer any questions. Even looneytune

 

What is it with you Hard Rider??? Let it go! I haven't said a word to you lately and I come on here and here you are talking a cheap shot at me. Could it be perhaps that I have been busy??? COULD IT BE THAT MY MOM IS NOT IN THE BEST OF HEALTH RIGHT NOW AND SHE COMES FIRST??? That was completely uncalled for. I haven't said anything to you and I even stated that we would agree to disagree and I dropped it there. But nope, you had to take a cheap shot at me.

The reason I haven't done anything yet is that my mom is not doing well, so I am staying close by. I'm not going into all the details here but that is the reason. So just let it go HR! I haven't said one word to you at all since our disagreement.

 

My apologies to Mushroom and the mods... I didn't want to go off on anyone but right now my mom is not doing well and that's why I haven't been around. looney tune i didnt attack you thats not why im here you nad such a big deal out of a company you know nothing about.No one caresa bout marten or where you came from i was here talking to mushroom and warning him of all the bad things new century had to offer as you see im not the only one out there that has a opinion about nc and its not good.. there end is near there going public and if you know anything if anyone is searching for more money there out to screw you .. Its only in harrys interest to wanna go public as he did jevic when he gets what he wants he will sell it all off again and be gone..
