Even if they ask for experience, go knock on their door and sell yourself, you just never know.

Let us know where you land!

Even taking a class 3 job them moving up isn’t a bad idea.

Sorry for the irony, but was it just not the other day that they were screaming for drivers and how there was a massive shortage. Now, qualified or even new drivers cannot fond work. Plus, the trucking industry in Canada has been overrun with immigrants. Sad state of affairs I have to say.

I've been hearing about this so called "driver shortage" since I started driving 30 years ago. It's a load of crap.

There’s no shortage of jobs but there’s a shortage of good jobs. Jobs that pay well, that aren’t on a 1099 or a lease purchase agreement that’ll break you. There’s a lot but a lot of it is crap.

The "driver shortage" is quality, decent drivers. That's the shortage part for drivers.

Lots of drivers, lots of jobs out there.

Quality drivers and quality jobs are in short supply.

But then why are they allowing so many unqualified foreign drivers? Do companies really think they are saving in the long run?

I had no issues find a new job 2 weeks ago in AB. Had multiple good offers $40 an hr plus. Was tougher deciding which I liked the most than getting interviews. Went with a company that didn't even have any hiring ads listed. Literally the exact type of job I was looking for.
