Need some insight on previous years employment verification. I was self employed for the past 15 years. As a new CDL driver any future employer needs to verify a minimum of 3 years employment. Will my tax returns be enough to satisfy that requirement? Again, Class B local driving company. TIA
New Class B, self employed past 15 yrs and verification?

Tax returns usually work.
Another Canadian driver and Ateam1974 Thank this. -
Requirements are the new company must attempt to verify past employment. Tax returns are usually ok as the FMCSA auditors tend to see that as a valid attempt. It's by no means a legal requirement though, so some companies will not accept it.
If you were self employed and tax returns are not accepted simply find out what is. Drivers are always needed, especially new drivers as they tend to get paid less. Companies will help you figure out what's needed to get the verification done.Ateam1974 and Another Canadian driver Thank this. -
