New Connecticut Highway Use Tax

I got my letter today. They should have saved the stamp!

 

Got ours as well. Total freaking joke and want you to report not yearly, not quarterly, but monthly. I think we ran about 200 miles in CT the last two quarters. Considering just not even bothering with it.

 

And from what my wife was saying… once you start it, you can’t stop as long as you’re an active carrier. Assuming there are fines if you don’t report even if the mileage is zero.

 

That’s the path I’m taking. Piss on em. I don’t go there enough to miss doing business there.

Got my welcome letter last week. Everyone in CT can cheer when everything they buy goes up on Jan 1.

Yeah that monthly filing isn't going to last long. I don't have an issue with filing zero mile returns. Just one more thing on the checklist. I hope they get buried in them. I already had to do that with sales tax returns a while back so I could buy stuff tax exempt. Eventually the DoR figured out twelve times zero is still zero, so got the hint and put me as on an annual filer.

I got it as well, I stopped running Connecticut last year when they announced it, and have absolutely no intention to go there. If you run Connecticut, you have to report your miles monthly.
