Hey @Ruthless are you sure its "only" 10 cents per mile? I was told today that it was something like 17 cents.. Maybe as a local you get cut the privilege of paying less?

I’m registered for 150,000 there. I have to pay ifta, buy an overweight permit and now pay another.17 cpm.

yeah I think not. I just won’t go there.

Connecticut fuel tax is 49 cents per mile, with that additional 10 cents it will be 59 cents per mile.

Meanwhile, Pennsylvania fuel tax is 75 cents per mile, Illinois is 63 cents per mile after the huge increase the criminals in charge passed it not long time ago.

It's funny how you complain against a small state like Connecticut, when states like Pennsylvania and Illinois cause much bigger
    damage to our business.

It’s not just the money. Although that’s a big part of it. It’s also truck only not every Deisel burner. It’s also the convoluted way they want to report it.

try again. Oh and fuel tax is per gallon not per mile. Ifta is Based on fuel mileage and miles traveled.

I suspect a sharp local trucking concern will figure out how to make money off of this. ;)

Someone else already pointed out the miles/gallons thing.

Seemed like CT was once the king of IFTA rates at 78¢ only recently getting beat out for top spot by PA at 81¢. Now I look it up and your right with CT at 49¢ and PA is actually 74¢. I gotta start paying more attention when doing those quarterlies.

Per gallon, right, my fault. But the damage is still much bigger.
NY, KY, NM charge additional per mile, why Connecticut or any other state shouldn't do it?
