I'll keep this and street beater's advice in mind. I tried to put one of the addresses in Maps and quickly realized I was gonna be adding "detective" to my skill set.

Keep a Hudson map book that you have added the location of new jobs in, and a list of the names and page locations in the front of the book. Unless your map software allows for adding locations...

In addition, when you get brand new ones, or arnt sure, put a note for the driver to see you upon returning, and get details you can record for future use

Be cool with them. Don't make them feel like you're Fng with them. Sometimes you have to lay down the law, but explain why you need them to do X and Y. In other words don't just treat them like they're word don't matter. Remember they're your eyes and ears out there.
Exemple; sometimes my dispatcher wants to give me X location just because. I tell him I won't do it. He says I'm lazy. I say, you go do it with the trailer I have (no lift gate and place requires it.)
I really have no complains about him other than he sometimes thinks he knows it all but really he's just going by what he reads on the bills and the bills are not always right or omit information on the destination of the freight.

Some days the bills say lift gate requiered because that was the case years ago. I feel he wants to give me eff up locations some times so I don't tell him the truth. I go to those places and it's an easy in and out

This! Luckily im a driver as well, i only need to get the drivers their routes, beyond that.... S.E.P. but when a driver tells me, this job needs a liftgate, or moffet, or this one is huuuuugggeee pain, pay a courier to haul it. I listen.

I remember when I won the bid for my route and he would give me the bills and say this goes on the nose and this on the tail... I was raised in that area. He would get pissed when he saw me re-organizing the bills in the order I preferred lol.
Now he leaves me alone for the most part. I load my own trailer or trailers. Whenever someone else shares the route with me , he even requests my help to sort the bills in the right or easiest way for the other driver.

Fool is cool. No major complains.

In some areas here.com is better than google maps. Might give a perspective at least.

Just keep being open but nobody's fool. You will end up the latter sometimes but don't get mad about it, choose your time and place to straighten things out. Sometimes it's just the way it went and not an evil plan.
