Hi all. I got my cdl last week and have been applying to jobs all week but have only heard back from 2 of them. Any advice on carriers? I live in NE Pennsylvania if that helps

I’ve applied to places like dot foods, us foods, Pepsi, Navajo, jr schugel, etc. I’d much rather do otr

I applied to coke also but the one near me only has manuals

I could also do the DG account they offered me out of school but idk about that

I’ve heard bad reviews about them. How are they as a company?

Have you tried giving those companies a call to see what the status of your application is? That may help kick start things...

Don't worry about bad reviews; those don't apply to you.
CRST runs teams until you finish the contract; if you have a contract.
    Do you have endorsements.
We'll give you more names of companies to apply with.

Oh I’d rather not do teams.
No endorsements yet but I’m willing to get them.

Yeah didn’t think of that until earlier tbh. I called one company and couldn’t get anybody on the hiring end. One was closed by the time I called them.

I spoke on the phone with a company that said I’d hear from them by the end of the week. I’m gonna call them Friday if they don’t get back by then.

Put some more apps out there. Plenty of OTR companies will hire you.
