New driver…first time on detention pay.

In my experience, it takes as long as it takes. A polite “How’s my load going?” after two hours is okay, but rarely makes any appreciable difference.

Unless I’m sure that I’ll be out of there in under two hours, I always log into sleeper berth once I’m parked at the dock, and I get out of the driver seat and go back there. Stop that clock! The split sleeper rules are your friend.

I’m diabetic so I have to urinate more frequently than I used to. I use a large Love’s cup, and then I pour it out into a gallon jug (I use these Ozarka jugs, they have a slightly wider opening).
