We have a yard in lenoir nc and hire new drivers. Home every other week end and good pay/equipment. Oh and I'm speaking of ozark.

I'm a trainer here and my current trainee is saying so far he loves the training program because its more thorough.

Lots in Charlotte. If you're wanting home everyday go check with some of the fuel haulers, ltl, etc. lots of work out there.

Yes there are alot of fuel haulers in Charlotte, but just a word of advice ... given with the best of intentions. Do yourself a favor and get your experience doing something else rather than hauling hazardous materials at first. When you start hauling gas, driving needs to be second nature to you. The easiest thing you will do is drive the truck in this line of work ... everything else gets very involved ... especially at the gas terminals ... and it has to be absolutely right, first time, every time. Most fuel haulers will simply not put up with people who make any kind of mistakes ... turnover rates go way beyond 50% most of the time ... and most require at least 3 years experience ... soooooooo ... if this is what you want to do, then fine ... but please get your driving down pat somewhere else ... and thencome and see us. We are always in need of good people.

wsyrob mentioned Superior-Carriers; excellent choice. Start out making good money from day 1. Tanker companies put you through their own tanker orientation/school and don't turn you loose solo until you are ready. Make over $60K per year with tanker/hazmat.

Howard Transportation has a terminal in Kenly, NC and hauls their own products.

West Coast turnarounds from the Carolinas running teams:
    WLA Inc.
    Cooke Trucking Co.
    Hardy Bros. Inc.

    Maverick - weekends home program.

    CTL - hazmat/tanker

Interesting. I see Averitt drivers every day in my yard. Because I am relocating to NC I would always ask about pay/benies and home time. Most were from Greensboro area but some from Cookville.

Most drivers say they are happy, home every weekend, but lately some complaints about over-hiring resulting in less mile$ per driver.

I work for a tanker company home every night and I am under 6 months. And I can tell you Do Not settle for SNBC the last thing you want is to be part of a huge company if you have X on your CDL then start knocking on doors two tank washes within 5 miles of each other. Huge tank town in mount holly do not waste your X on SNBC
