Thank you, Lucky07, for pointing out what's wrong with the trucking industry. Good to know that you are the ultimate judge of our industry. May we all go blow our heads off so the industry can start over.

It's not just the industry, it's society as a whole. And if you don't want to admit there's a problem with society there's no big surprise there. Trucking isn't what it used to be, neither are the drivers ... it's not just a coincidence.

With the previous charges you cannot get a passport, twic card or any government clearance. Also you can never have any TSA clearance with that ####tail of convictions.

Where you live??? Lot of companies will hire if not too serious a felony. Can check with companies hauling water in oil patch around the country. Few sand haulers will give you a shot. Make sure and put this crap on application. Finding it out later really pisses most people off.

I don't, I live in a cave and have no concept of anything I've never actually witnessed. I don't have any family that drove for a living, I don't work with any old guys that have been trucking since forever, I've never heard either of the above talk about old times, what's changed and what caused them to call it quits.

It does not automatically disqualify the driver. It may with certain companies but not all. Can any of the posters in this thread speak thru experience on this subject? I can. I just have to laugh at how other drivers think they know whats best for the OP. Man-up? Oh please....

Why does it have to be a uncivil argument?

People make mistakes all the time, I am sure some trucking companies will hire a person with a record.

    bullhaulerswife and bikertrash61 Thank this.

If they are minor charges have your attorney go back to the court and ask the he if would please remove these charges, being they are minor in nature, and they are preventing you from obtaining employment. As long as she does not contest them the odds are good, if your being forthright about not being in any other altercations.

As far as passing judgement on you if you come on to a open forum with half of a story what do you expect .
